An MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Coordinator in construction is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all MEP works to ensure they are installed correctly, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Reports To:
Project Manager / Construction Manager
- Coordinate all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works on construction projects.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability.
- Ensure MEP systems are properly integrated with architectural and structural works.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor site progress and ensure MEP works are completed according to project schedules.
- Conduct inspections to verify workmanship and compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure all MEP installations comply with applicable codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide updates on MEP progress.
- Identify and resolve clashes between MEP services using coordination drawings and BIM software where applicable.
- Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements on site.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in MEP coordination for commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems.
- Knowledge of local building codes and construction standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination is an advantage.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Time management and ability to work under pressure.
- MEP works completed on schedule.
