Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to join their growing engineering team. This role involves designing electrical systems for commercial building projects from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, architects, and contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with MEP consulting experience who enjoy working on diverse projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple engineering projects, schedules, and client relationships.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate project requirements.
• Perform site visits to document existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Design electrical systems from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Develop electrical designs using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Design building power distribution systems.
• Design lighting systems.
• Design site electrical systems.
• Design photovoltaic (solar) systems.
• Perform engineering calculations including: voltage drop, fault current, arc flash analysis.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and contractors.
• Participate in construction administration including RFIs and submittal reviews.
• Prepare technical reports, basis of design documents, and project specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of MEP consulting engineering experience.
• Experience designing commercial building electrical systems.
• Proficiency with:
  Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of: electrical power distribution, lighting systems, site electrical systems, photovoltaic systems.
• Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience with: SKM Power Tools, Design Master, Bluebeam Revu, Com Check, Energy Pro.
• Knowledge of utility standards and interconnection requirements.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and engineering documentation.
