Software Engineering Intern, Spectre

Firestorm is seeking an Software Engineering Intern to support our software War Room Team to drive the execution and coordination across the full development lifecycle of our unmanned aerial systems simulations.

You’ll help turn innovative designs into reality by supporting prototyping, testing, data collection, and coordinating cross-functional engineering efforts.

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Software, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field
• U.S. Citizenship required & the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and projects.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Experience in project coordination or support.
• Ability to operate in fast paced, iterative development environments

• Bachelors degree in Software, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering preferred.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment, prototyping, or assembly work is a plus.
• Acquainted with DoD or Aerospace

• Based at our Headquarters in San Diego, CA
• Ability to work in-office & flexible hours at various testing locations as needed
• Travel up to 10% and work in multiple environment conditions that include: heat, cold, precipitation and/or wind
• Able to lift 30+ pounds as needed

• U.S. Range: $28 hour

The posted range reflects an estimate based on a variety of compensation factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, certifications, specialized skills, geographic location, and business needs.
