Senior Civil Engineer I/II
Location:
San Diego, CA 92101 Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000 per year
You'll work on impactful land development projects that help shape growing communities. What You'll DoAs a Senior Civil Engineer I/II, you will:
- Develop project designs by evaluating project constraints, site conditions, project goals, agency requirements, and engineering best practices
- Support construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, and construction changes
- Train and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff
- Prepare technical reports and perform complex calculations related to hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, stormwater detention, and utility sizing
- Complete complex grading designs and earthwork calculations
- Deliver high-quality engineering work products, including full QA/QC reviews and completeness checks, for internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited four-year institution
- 5–7 years of experience, depending on prior land development design experience
- At least 2 years of independently solving complex engineering problems in land development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop (LDD), and/or Civil 3D
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- A motivated, curious problem-solver who works well both independently and collaboratively
