Engineering Technician 3
The main function of the engineering technician is to support engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations. Essential duties and responsibilities include: setting up and performing chemical, electrical, mechanical or related experiments in the lab or in pre-clinical evaluations; supporting development of new or improved test methods simulating actual product use conditions;
executing test protocols and documenting results; preparing experimental data for analysis and highlighting unique observations; providing input on improvements to MPI's, SOP's, L 's, TP's and LHR's related to test methods; documenting and troubleshooting new fixtures, procedures, and equipment; improving and/or optimizing existing equipment, fixtures, protocols, and methods; maintaining a laboratory notebook; working closely with all supporting groups and departments;
and other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications include: comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced environment; ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty and a willingness to try new/challenging things; attention to detail and keen sense of observation; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to prioritize activities to meet project objectives on time; demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred qualifications include: work experience in medical device or related industry; experience interacting with/operating fixtures & equipment that are early prototypes and actively being developed.
Skills include: creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Education/
Experience:
