Engineering Technician
As an Engineering Technician, you will frequently collaborate with Engineers across Qualcomm to optimize the utilization of our equipment and components. You will play a key role in the preliminary stages of our technical processes. Engineering Technicians will also be responsible for upkeeping and implementing operations and safety standards in the workplace to ensure all components of our equipment is properly handled.
This role will support ATE test hardware through design validation, troubleshooting, and repair across data center, automotive, and robotics product lines. The technician will also provide hands-on support to test hardware design and PTE teams, including assistance with DOE execution, product characterization, hardware measurements, and necessary modifications.
• Associate's degree. OR High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of experience with general computer skills and Microsoft applications.
• 1+ year of experience in Semiconductor or related industry.
• Military experience or training in electronics field (Rank E4+).
• 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• Sets up and maintains benches, testers, and other equipment. Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures equipment and components.
• Performs measurements, documents test results and KPIs, and maintains malfunction records.
• Troubleshoots and performs repair work, rework, removal, and adjustments to equipment as necessary with individuals inside own team and with other teams.
• Sets up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Executes manual and automated test plans and provides some input on test cases and test procedures; reproduces and debugs issues.
• Tracks the purchasing, shipping/transporting, receiving, and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projects.
• Works under supervision. Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.

Pay Range and Other Compensation & Benefits$22.85 - $34.27
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
