Test Engineer - Onsite

10 is currently seeking a Test Engineer for a 6+ month contract to hire opportunity with a Global Medical Technology Company located in San Diego, CA. This position is fully onsite. Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for executing design verification testing and supporting various test activities. You will operate a wide range of electromechanical test equipment, document results with good documentation practices, and assist in failure analysis to support root-cause investigations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, self-driven technical professional with strong problem-solving skills who can adapt quickly in a dynamic testing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and document test results using good documentation practices and assist in failure analysis to support root-cause investigations Execute design verification testing and support other test activities as needed Operate various test equipment, including vernier scales, microscopes, tensile testing machines, multimeters, oscilloscopes, temperature probes, data acquisition systems, drop testing equipment, mechanical shock and vibration equipment, environmental chambers, hardness testers, and fatigue testing machines Support the development of test procedures, equipment/fixture builders, and any documentation that supports testing Support fixture or equipment development for product testing, including designing and testing equipment or fixtures, processes, and completing engineering studies and validations Primary Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline 2-5+ years of relevant experience Hands-on experience with electromechanical test equipment and measurement systems, with strong troubleshooting skills Familiarity with statistical analysis, DOE techniques (e.g., Gauge R&R, t-test, ANOVA), and data interpretation Self-driven, technical person with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective technical writing for protocols and reports Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and prioritization abilities Ability to be flexible with work hours when needed, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends Desired

Skills:

Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-11, ASTM D4169, ASTM D4332, ISTA 3A, and ISO 11607 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
