Develop travel forecasts and conduct traffic analyses, crash studies, field surveys, and reviews of transportation plans and traffic control plans. Recommend and design traffic control improvements, signals, street lighting, and signal timing plans, and inspect related work in the field.
Requirements: Requires two years of full-time professional traffic engineering or transportation planning experience, including qualifying work in at least one specified traffic engineering or transportation planning area. Applicants must meet an education or credential pathway through a relevant bachelor's degree, an Engineer-in-Training certificate, or professional engineering registration; qualifying experience may substitute for education, and graduate transportation coursework may substitute for up to one year of experience.
