Overview
The Finance Associate will be responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, forecasting liquidity needs, ensuring optimal use of funds, and supporting banking operations. This role involves monitoring financial transactions, preparing treasury reports, analyzing investment opportunities, and assisting in maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations. The Finance Associate works closely with finance, accounting, and operational teams to optimize cash management and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Cash & Liquidity Management- Monitor daily cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and variance analyses.
- Manage intercompany funding and cash pooling activities.
- Coordinate payments, transfers, and settlement of financial transactions.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners to ensure favorable terms and efficient services.
- Open, close, and manage bank accounts and related documentation.
- Administer online banking platforms and ensure user access controls are current.
- Review and process wire transfers, ACH payments, and foreign currency transactions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports for management.
- Analyze interest expense, debt schedules, and investment returns.
- Recommend strategies to improve cash flow efficiency and reduce banking fees.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to treasury functions.
- Maintain and document treasury procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- 2–5 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking.
- Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) and ERP software preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cash management principles, banking operations, and financial instruments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
