Tax Manager | Proactive Tax Advisory | Leadership Track

Gulla CPA is building a national advisory firm focused on proactive tax planning for established business owners generating $3M to $50M in revenue. Our clients expect strategic guidance before decisions are made, not after returns are filed.

We are seeking a Tax Manager with 7 to 10 years of public accounting experience who wants to grow beyond technical execution and develop into a true tax advisory leader.

This role is designed for a strong technician ready to elevate into strategic thinking and client leadership.

You will:

• Deliver proactive, year round tax planning under the guidance of Senior Managers and Partners
• Review complex business and individual tax returns
• Identify planning opportunities before year end
• Assist in modeling tax impact of major business decisions
• Lead client meetings for planning discussions
• Mentor Senior Tax Consultants and Staff
• Support multi entity and multi state tax structures

This role provides direct exposure to advisory conversations and firm leadership.

• 7 to 10 years of public accounting experience
• Strong technical foundation in business taxation
• Experience interacting directly with business owners
• Interest in proactive tax advisory, not just preparation
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements
• CPA license required
• Long term growth mindset

This position is part of our leadership pipeline. High performing Managers will be developed into Senior Managers with a defined path toward partnership based on performance, leadership, and client impact.

We believe compensation should reflect impact. Our structure includes a strong base salary and a performance bonus tied directly to advisory contribution, client stewardship, and overall engagement performance. There is meaningful upside for professionals who grow into expanded leadership roles.

Compensation range varies by market and experience level and will be discussed transparently during the interview process.
