The Role
:
This is a rare opportunity to join a high‑performing firm at a pivotal stage of growth. As a Portfolio Advisory/ Business Development professional, you will serve as an ambassador for Coast Edge’s investment platform, helping clients understand how we construct holistic portfolios and thoughtfully incorporate alternative investments alongside traditional asset classes.
This is not a traditional new client acquisition role. It is a critical operating role responsible for being deeply embedded alongside our specialized investment and operating teams focused on long‑term relationship building, portfolio education, and delivering a best‑in‑class client experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively build and maintain trusted relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy
- Leverage (and contribute to the new development of) internal collateral to help articulate Coast Edge’s investment philosophy, portfolio approach, and value proposition in every client conversation
- Work with our operations and investment teams to help educate clients on holistic portfolio construction, including the role of alternative investments
- Collaborate closely with investment, operations, and client service teams to deliver an exceptional client experience by prioritizing urgency and precision with responses that anticipate a client’s needs
- Attend industry events, seeking to expand our network and introduce technology, operational, and investment leadership to our internal senior leadership
- Represent the firm during existing and prospective client meetings, working closely with the client service and investment teams to prepare senior partners for meetings – this can include preparatory notes and proposal generation
- Provide feedback to leadership on market trends and evolving client needs
- Serve in a critical cross functional role collaborating across the firm with the Client Service, Accounting, Reporting, and Investment teams to keep senior partners updated on important client facing needs and expectations
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a very small and select group of highly motivated, relationship‑driven professionals who are energized by representing a differentiated investment platform and building something meaningful inside a growing firm. This role would be a foundational one in the development of that group.
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Experience in relationship management or business development within investment or wealth management
- Familiarity with both traditional and alternative investments and portfolio construction
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex investment concepts
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for investing
- High integrity and a client‑first mindset
