Cantor Fitzgerald invites you to be part of our growing Internal Control team in San Diego, CA. As an Internal Control Analyst, you'll play a vital role in managing post-execution trade activities and critical control processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure the integrity of post-trade processes and contribute to a globally active financial services firm.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and validate security master and reference data for accurate trade processing.
  • Reconcile external reports with internal back-office systems, including broker statements and exchange data.
  • Review and investigate reconciliation breaks, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform daily reviews of management reports and exchange data, developing and maintaining performance benchmarks.
  • Track trade settlements and coordinate with counter parties for settlement discrepancies.
  • Support possession and control processes to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on existing controls and processes.
  • Assist in managing internal and external audit requests and documentation.
  • Collaborate with front, middle, and back office teams for effective trade-related issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Self-directed, energetic, and intellectually curious, with a proactive approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a financial services or trading environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry practices is an asset.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
