About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance supports corporate‑level planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to inform strategic and investment decisions. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, this role delivers core FP&A outputs including budget, forecast, variance analysis, and capital planning using modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Power BI Direct Lake. The position builds and maintains models, dashboards, and reporting that translate complex data into actionable insights, while developing AI‑enabled workflows that improve forecasting accuracy, reduce cycle time, and enhance decision‑making.

This is a hybrid role: three days onsite and two days remote; candidates must reside within commuting distance of our corporate office in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, CA.

What You’ll Do
  • Reporting & Performance Insights
    :
    Complete monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting; analyze and interpret financial and operating data for business units; maintain standardized reporting and analysis that explains key variances, trends, and performance drivers.
  • Forecasting Models & Dashboards
    :
    Develop and maintain sophisticated financial forecasting models and dashboards; manage complex models, spreadsheets, and databases; project cash and working capital needs.
  • Investment and Valuation Support
    :
    Familiar with investment returns & waterfalls (IRR, multiples, NPV); understand asset valuation and various pro‑forma models (DCF); complete ad‑hoc projects to aid management and investors in strategy and investment decisions.
  • Executive Presentations & Partnership
    :
    Create presentations for senior management; collaborate with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance and results; be detailed, organized, and a strong team player.
  • Compliance & Training
    :
    Complete company‑required training by established deadlines; comply with all Fairfield standards, health and safety rules, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Other Duties
    :
    Perform any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (advanced degree is a plus).
  • 5+ years of relevant financial analyst experience; real estate industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning, Tableau, and multidimensional databases is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex financial models used for forecasting, variance analysis, and executive decision support, with clear documentation and structured assumptions.
  • Proven ability to convert large or complex data sets into actionable insights through dashboards, KPI reporting, and concise executive‑ready narratives and visuals.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment (monthly/quarterly cycles), balancing accuracy, speed, and stakeholder communication.
