About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Officer at Aequalend, you will be at the forefront of our mission, guiding our clients on their home financing journey. You'll play an instrumental role in helping individuals and families in underserved communities to achieve their home ownership dreams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their unique financial circumstances, and providing tailored mortgage advice.

• Guide customers through the mortgage process, assisting with application completion, gathering necessary documentation, and answering any queries.

• Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure mortgage applications are processed smoothly and efficiently.

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage market and Aequalend’s product offerings to provide customers with the best options.

• Participate in local community events to promote Aequalend's mortgage products and services.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or similar role.

• Familiarity with mortgage loan processes, underwriting, and relevant regulations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to understand and cater to the unique needs of underserved communities.

• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
