An Optima Office CFO is a key business partner of our client's Chief Executive Officer or business owner, providing strategic financial support for their business on part-time basis. The CFO is contracted for specific, strategic financial support for either a defined project or on-going services. They are typically highly skilled professionals with backgrounds that span multiple decades of financial and operational experience.
They become an integrated part of the management team, bringing stronger financial understanding to the client. This position plays a pivotal role in client management and communication and will manage other Optima Office accounting and finance staff.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and overhead cost allocation.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.
- Oversee budgets and cash flow planning and communicate availability of funds, as needed.
- Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
- Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans.
