Role Description The Associate Research Analyst & Trader at Financial Sense Wealth Management is an integral part of our team serving as the true connection between our clients, support team, and advisors. This great communicator, influencer and enthusiastic person will support the vision, positive culture and team spirit.
The Associate Research Analyst works within the investment philosophy and proprietary strategies developed by Financial Sense Wealth Management and plays a key role in communicating the firm’s strategy and outlook to the Advisory Team to equip them to then share the firm’s views with our clients.
- Strong Analytical Skills and proficiency with statistics to interpret market data, evaluate investment opportunities, and support portfolio decisions.
- Experience in Market and Economic Research, including gathering, organizing, and synthesizing financial, economic, and company-specific information.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly in written reports and verbal discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field; advanced coursework or certifications (e.g., CFA level progress) are beneficial.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, portfolio management systems, and financial data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Fact Set, or similar) is preferred.
- Knowledge of capital markets, investment products (stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds), and basic portfolio construction principles.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and adherence to compliance requirements in a regulated financial environment.
- Skilled with the use of AI (Claude Cowork, Claude Code) and proficient in Excel.
- Series 7, 65/66 preferred
- Ideally 1-5 years of experience in financial services with direct emphasis on Investment Management
