How you will make an impact- Building a comprehensive treasury strategy aligned with Halozyme corporate objectives
- Providing treasury perspective and modeling for Board and Investor communications on liquidity position, capital structure, risk management, and capital return strategy
- Partnering with the Chief Financial Officer on developing and managing Halozyme’s capital allocation strategy and decisions
- Forecasting cash, royalties & milestone collections, payment timing, capital, share repurchases, and M&A outflows
- Overseeing bank administration, signatory controls, online banking, and reconciliation processes
- Evaluating and implementing Treasury Management Systems as needed
- Developing, implementing, monitoring, and updating the short-term investment policies for cash reserves and marketable securities, balancing safety, liquidity, yield, and risk
- Managing the investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall liquidity needs and debt obligations
- Identifying, measuring, monitoring, and mitigating key financial risks including foreign exchange, interest rate risk, and credit risk
- Recommending hedging strategies
- Supporting broader enterprise risk management efforts that may intersect with treasury
- Providing recommendations and execution on the share buyback plan
- Analyzing debt capacity and determining optimal debt financing options
- Modeling organic and M&A valuations, tracking, funding analysis, integration planning, and overall support for M&A, licensing deals, and business development opportunities
- Establishing, documenting, and implementing continuous improvement measures for treasury policies, procedures, and SOX control (cash, banking, payments, risk management)
- Ensuring compliance with debt covenants, SEC reporting requirements, and other regulatory obligations
- Delivering timely reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, executive team, Audit Committee, and other stakeholders as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of diverse financial and business experience
- At least 6 years of corporate Treasury leadership experience
- Diverse experience in cross-disciplinary financial roles such as controllership, FP&A, tax, program finance, financial reporting, etc.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
- Experience with managing various convertible debt portfolios
- Experience leading share repurchase programs for public companies
- Experience providing Treasury and/or financial consultation on M&A transactions
- Experience leading cash flow efficiency and effectiveness initiatives
- Experience consulting on hedging initiatives
- Global treasury experience is preferred

- The most likely base pay range for this position is $250K - $290K per year.
- Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation.
