Our client is seeking an experienced Reverse Mortgage Underwriter to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing credit, income, asset, and collateral documentation to make sound underwriting decisions in accordance with HECM and Reverse Proprietary Product guidelines. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance standards while meeting established turnaround times.

• Perform comprehensive underwriting reviews of reverse mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with company, investor, and FHA guidelines.
• Analyze credit, income, asset, and collateral documentation to determine loan eligibility.
• Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and consistency while identifying any discrepancies or red flags.
• Evaluate third-party reports, fraud detection reports, judgments, and lien searches.
• Issue underwriting decisions based on established HECM and proprietary reverse mortgage lending guidelines.
• Maintain productivity expectations and adhere to established underwriting turn times of 24 to 48 hours.
• Collaborate with internal mortgage partners to resolve issues and support efficient loan processing.
• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and investor requirements.

• Experience underwriting HECM Purchase transactions.
• Minimum of 3 years of Reverse Mortgage Underwriting experience
