Future Salary Increases** June 25, 2027 - 4.49% increase to base pay (3.00% Across-the-Board + 1.49% Market Increase)
About the PositionSenior Crime & Intelligence Analyst is an expert-level class that compiles, independently analyzes, evaluates, correlates, and disseminates crime data, crime reports, and other criminal intelligence information provided by local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies relative to general criminal activities and organized criminal groups, as well as discloses patterns and trends of criminal activity for a specific region of San Diego County.

1. One year of experience as a Crime & Intelligence Analyst for the County of San Diego;
OR
2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in criminal justice, behavioral science, statistics, quantitative analysis or a closely related field, AND, three (3) years of experience performing intelligence analysis and/or investigative support work within a crime analysis, criminal intelligence or military intelligence unit.
Note:
Additional years of experience as described above may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
A master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in any of the fields described above may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
