Ultrasound Technologist; PRN

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking PRN Ultrasound Technologists to support operations at the San Diego VA Medical Center located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161. • Independently operates equipment to perform a variety of complex sonographic examinations ranging from routine to highly specialized
• Reviews requisitions to assure that the patient history and anatomical area of interest is consistent with the exam(s) requested; examinations performed include abdomen for tumors, cysts, abscesses, hematomas, inflammatory lesions, and the size and location of organs; evaluations of the abdominal aorta for aneurysm and/or dissection, and chest exams for pleural effusions
• Conducts neck, carotid artery, leg vein, and artery examinations
• Also assists Radiologists during invasive procedures and performs all types of gynecological ultrasound exams
• Performs quantitative Doppler measurements to determine blood flow profiles when indicated
• Must have knowledge of appropriate use of color flow/power Doppler to further evaluate areas for vascular patency/pattern

• Have a current and valid ARDMS license and required to be licensed in a minimum of two (2) out of the three (3) advanced disciplines to include Abdomen, OB/GYN, and RVT, and it is required to have current experience in all three (3) disciplines
• Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as certified by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of two years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography

$70.00 - $75.09 hourly

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
