Job SummaryAssists guests at pool facilities with towels, seating, etc. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of all supplies, equipment, and work areas. Ensures guest safety and enjoyment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Monitors guest activity in assigned work area being alert to any sign of trouble. Ensures safety of guests and enforcement of pool rules and beach precautions according to department standards. Reports any unauthorized persons in the pool area to management.
- Greets and acknowledges guests, answers department telephone.
- Sets up pool furniture, cabanas, towels, and umbrellas.
- Distributes and retrieves towels for guests. Collects dirty towels left on chairs and in pool beach areas. Maintains the area in a clean and neat manner at all times.
- Must have full knowledge of all NEXCOM Hospitality Group NHG facilities and services hours of operation, equipment and services available for guests at the pool facility.
- Maintains positive guest relations at all times. Provides assistance in handling guest complaints involving management when necessary.
- Monitors and maintains cleanliness, equipment sanitation and organization of assigned work areas, remove trash as needed.
- Measures pool Jacuzzi chemical readings at scheduled times, adds designated chemicals when needed.
- Inventories supply and equipment levels, reports shortages to Supervisor.
- Cleans, vacuums, and brushes the pool, checks filter heaters and pumps to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
- Follows maintenance program and cleaning schedule. Adheres to all safety and sanitation regulations for the pool facility.
- Documents maintenance needs on work orders and submits to Manager.
- Cleans and returns recreational rental equipment to proper storage, aligns lounge chairs to specified position/location.
- Completes closing duties and paperwork including but not limited to setting up pool closed sign, cleaning furniture and removing all trash and debris, securing storage areas, returning all dirty towels to the laundry department. Documenting pertinent information in log book.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Exert physical effort in transporting up to 50 pounds, may remain in stationary position for extended periods of time, and endure various physical movements throughout the work area.
Working ConditionsWorks under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold) outdoors or indoors. May be exposed to variable noise levels, fumes, odor hazards around dust and/or mite hazards and around chemicals. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Six months experience performing swimming pool attendant work or other recreational facility attendant work or other work of a similar nature.
