Overview

The Director of Event Planning leads comprehensive luxury resort event management, optimizing guest experiences and operational excellence in high-end hospitality settings. This leadership role is responsible for driving event strategy, managing high-performing teams, optimizing event revenue, and maintaining the resort’s reputation as a premier destination for conferences, weddings, corporate retreats, and social gatherings.

As a key member of the resort’s leadership team, the Director of Event Planning collaborates closely with Sales, Catering, Food & Beverage, Operations, and Marketing to deliver world‑class events. This role requires strong hospitality management experience, a deep understanding of luxury resort operations, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive, strategic experience in luxury event planning and management within high-end resort, hotel, and premium hospitality environments, demonstrating expertise in luxury destination events
  • Proven leadership and team‑management abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasting
  • Deep knowledge of event operations, catering, banquet management, and guest service standards
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to excel in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments
  • Strong vendor and client relationship‑building skills
