Position: Staff ServiceNow Software Engineer

NOTE:
This position requires passing a Service Now background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Service Now scoped applications that will utilize all the Service Now’s platform functionality. This is not a full-stack software engineering position within the Service Now Development organization.

  • Develop and support the integration of 3rd party systems with Service Now; MID server and web services (REST).

  • Create and maintain API and data integrations between Service Now and other services

  • Be a lead contributor on how Service Now can be used to integrate to new and existing technologies.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and Rest API with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years with Service Now specific technologies:
    Service Catalog Items, Catalog UI Policy, Catalog Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Notifications, Table API, ACL, and Workflow/Flow Designer are required.

  • Excellent technical design, critical thinking, problem-solving, debugging skills, and an aptitude for learning new technologies.

  • Team player, attention to detail and ability to work well and communicate with others.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the use and management of Service Now APIs.

  • Experience with implementing multiple Service Now modules/products such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, etc.

  • Developed and supported Service Now Integration with third-party applications and data sources.

  • A rich knowledge of both ITIL and ITSM disciplines is required.

  • Service Now administration knowledge such as instance upgrade, skipped and customization change resolution are nice to have.

  • Service Now Application Developer and System Administrator Certifications are nice to have.

Compensation and Benefits

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $149,800 - $262,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
