Job Title:Contract Specialist
Duration:3+ Months (Extension Possible; Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Work Arrangement:Onsite (Minimum 4 Days per Week – Currently Monday–Thursday In Office)
Position Overview:The Contract Specialist reports directly to the Contracts & Compliance Manager – MMS Dispensing Capital Contracting. This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, organizational, and data management capabilities. The ideal candidate is collaborative, process-driven, and comfortable navigating complex contractual and regulatory environments within a capital equipment framework.
This position plays a critical role in supporting pre- and post-signature capital contracting processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and maintaining audit integrity.
Key Responsibilities:Contract Administration & Execution
- Review, audit, and validate all components of complete contractual packages
- Execute complete contractual packages in accordance with internal policies
- Evaluate and enforce pre-execution requirements
- Escalate compliance or contractual issues when appropriate
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Maintain working knowledge of:
- U.S. Antitrust laws
- HIPAA regulations
- Internal audit procedures and regulatory controls
- Support risk mitigation and regulatory compliance efforts
Capital Contracting Process Support
Apply knowledge across the full capital contracting lifecycle, including:
- Acceptance and performance
- Billing and revenue management
- Leasing and purchasing
- Asset management
Demonstrate understanding of:
- Capital equipment revenue recognition guidelines
- Accounting principles related to equipment contracts
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Proactively communicate and partner with multiple MMS Dispensing teams
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, acquisition programs, and marketing initiatives
- Provide support across commercial contracting activities
- 1–3 years of general contract experience
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting processes, including:
- Billing and invoicing
- Product technology
- Quoting
- MS Teams
- Share Point
- SAP
- CRM systems
The successful candidate will bring structured contract review experience within a regulated industry environment. Experience supporting capital equipment contracting, compliance review, and audit controls in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical technology setting is strongly preferred.
