Systems Analyst, IT QA Tester / Automation
Position Summary
The IT Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive QA strategy to ensure the quality and reliability of new technology solutions. This role will define testing standards, manage all QA processes, and lead efforts to identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues. Acting as the sole QA lead, the individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders, partner with vendors, and champion best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for technology solutions.
- Define testing standards, methodologies, and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Execute tests to identify bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate system functionality and stability.
- Conduct Regression testing to ensure that new features do not introduce new defects or disrupt existing functionality.
- Report defects in Dev Ops by documenting reproduction steps and details for effective resolution.
- Act as the primary QA lead, coordinating with developers, business analysts, and project managers.
- Partner with vendors to validate deliverables and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and results to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with business users during UAT to ensure that the software aligns with user expectations and meets business requirements.
- Provide oversight of the change management process to ensure technology changes follow approved procedures and controls.
- Validate that all solutions are fully documented and included in deployment and release documentation prior to production release.
- Partner with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure change records, release notes, and deployment artifacts accurately reflect delivered functionality.
- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance QA efficiency.
- Stay current on emerging QA tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Support change management initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and lead QA efforts across multiple projects.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including test strategy development and execution. li>Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (manual and automated).
- Experience in vendor management and enterprise-level technology implementations.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time (up to 3 hours at a time) during the scheduled workday.
