Senior IT Engineer to play a key role on our IT Team in the design, deployment, maintenance, and security of our infrastructure.
This position requires a hands‑on technical expertise with deep experience across Azure AD, Intune, Active Directory, Exchange, virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, and enterprise networking.
The ideal candidate is a problem‑solver who can operate independently, mentor junior staff, and help modernize and secure IT systems while supporting business operations.

Systems & Identity Management
- Administer and maintain Azure Active Directory (Entra ), including user lifecycle management, Conditional Access, MFA, and role‑based access control (RBAC).
- Manage on‑prem Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid AD configurations.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for device management (Windows, macOS, mobile), including compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.
- Manage Exchange Online / Exchange hybrid environments, including mail flow, security, retention, and troubleshooting.
- Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization environments, including Proxmox VE (VMs, LXC containers, backups, clustering, storage).
- Manage storage solutions (local, SAN/NAS, ZFS, backups, snapshots, replication).
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; proactively resolve issues.
- Configure and support enterprise networking environments, including:
- Switching and routing (VLANs, trunking, STP)
- Firewalls and VPNs (site‑to‑site and remote access)
- Network security best practices
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across endpoints, servers, and identity platforms.
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., CMMC, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar).
- Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and logging.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Maintain the ticketing system and work issues as they arrive within SLA.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Assist with training and support for end users.
• Work closely with vendors and security consultants as needed.
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in a senior IT or systems engineering role.
- Strong experience with Azure AD / Entra , Microsoft Intune, Active Directory (on‑prem and hybrid), Exchange / Exchange Online.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox strongly preferred; VMware/Hyper‑V acceptable).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, networking, and identity.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Proxmox clustering, ZFS, and backup strategies.
- Linux server administration (Debian/Ubuntu preferred).
- Scripting and automation (Power Shell, Bash, Python).
- Endpoint security and MDM hardening.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, SOC 2, ISO).
- Microsoft certifications (Azure, M365, Security) or equivalent experience.
- Experience modernizing legacy environments or migrating to cloud services.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
