Job Summary
The Technical Focused Business Systems Analyst I supports the development, configuration, and optimization of the PLM system used across reagent product lifecycle operations. This role emphasizes system design, data integrity, system documentation, and technical troubleshooting. The analyst works with technical and data stakeholders to translate business requirements into system functionality, support integrations, ensure data quality, and maintain system compliance. This position participates in simple to moderately complex system and data initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
System Development & Management
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing technical system solutions, procedures, and data creation to meet user requirements
- Participate in technical reviews of business requirements, system dependencies, and functional impacts.
- Document business requirements and system processes,
- Assist in validating automated workflows.
- Explore technical system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Support testing activities, including data validation and system configuration checks.
Technical Integration & Documentation
- Partner with departments to support cross-functional data and system integrations.
- Assist with data integrity maintenance during system updates or database conversions.
- Review technical specifications to confirm alignment with business and system requirements.
- Support development and communication of data standards ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Technical Expertise
- Maintain working knowledge of systems and product lifecycle data flows.
- Develop and deliver training on technical features or updates of business systems.
- Stay current on compliance regulations affecting system design, validation, and documentation.
- Recommend technical improvements aligned with future state system roadmaps.
Policies & Procedures
- Follow EH&S and IT related policies.
- Report hazardous or system‑related compliance concerns.
- Perform other technical assignments as required.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or business discipline OR relevant experience
- 3‑5+ years of experience with system configuration, databases, data integration, or technical process execution.
- Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments preferred.
Knowledge & Skills Desired:
- Basic understanding of product lifecycle management system functionality and relational database concepts
- Knowledge of structured technical documentation, change control, and quality regulations (ISO, GMP).
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel macros and pivot tables) and basic SAP technical navigation.
- Strong analytical, technical problem‑solving, and communication skills.

- Experience with
- SQL
- Microsoft .NET
- Crystal Reports or other reporting platforms such as Power BI
- API Calls / JSON schemas
- Jira platform or other related ticketing platform
- SDLC/Validation
- Developing and delivering technical end‑user and superuser training.
- Familiarity with:
- VMware VDI
- Network (WAN) concepts
- VBA/macros/scripting
