Senior Security Engineer

This role focuses on designing secure architectures, developing cybersecurity approaches to evaluate system security, and strategically reducing the attack surface across applications and systems. The position is critical for monitoring and defending technology against potential threats.

• Security Operations & Defense: Monitor and defend information systems against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction. Monitor networks and systems for security breaches using intrusion detection software.
• Incident Response & Remediation: Lead security incident response (preparation, detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery). Research and implement methods to remediate network and application security vulnerabilities.

  Risk Management:
  
  Lead security architecture controls reporting, compliance audits, and risk-focused reports including internal and 3rd party Risk Assessments. Develop the overall security design, development, testing, and implementation of security solutions. Conduct information security risk assessments.
• Tool Utilization & Standards: Utilize automated tools for security assessment. Develop a set of security standards and technical security standards for assets and software.

  Serve as a cybersecurity technical subject matter expert. Provide information security expertise throughout the system development life cycle. Partner with systems engineering teams to ensure designs align with company policies.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking, or Computer Science related discipline required.
• Experience:
• Minimum 8 years in a security engineering role designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
• Minimum 3-5 years direct experience using advanced technologies (listed above) to detect intrusions.
• 3-5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Security services preferred.
• Certifications:
• Required:
  
  GSEC, CISSP, and/or Security+.
• Preferred:
  AWS Certified Security – Specialty
