Overview

This role is a hands-on product security engineering position supporting the Cytology division within group.

• The security engineer will act as a technical lead, not a manager, and will be responsible for driving cybersecurity across the full product development lifecycle.
• This includes pre-market activities such as requirements development, architecture review, threat modeling, risk assessment, design input, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, composition analysis, and verification and validation.
• It also includes post-market cyber responsibilities such as ensuring secure update support and protecting released systems from cybersecurity threats.

• The ideal candidate must be highly technical and capable of working across software, systems, hardware, networking, and device-level security.
• They must be able to review and influence software and system architecture and ensure cybersecurity is incorporated early using a layered security approach.
• They need to read and apply technical standards and regulatory expectations including IEC, ISO, and FDA-related requirements. They must be able to take regulatory and standards-based requirements and translate them into actual technical controls implemented on the device.
