Required Skills
This position demands a diverse skill set, encompassing strategic thinking and in-depth analytical problem-solving. The ability to make high judgement, effective and high velocity decisions is crucial. Candidates must excel in communicating complex technical and operational issues in clear business language and you must be comfortable performing in a highly collaborative environment and working with your peers to accomplish the objectives of the organization
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Thinking & High-Judgment Decision-Making:
Ability to diagnose complex escalation patterns, identify systemic root causes, and make rapid, effective decisions under pressure with incomplete information-balancing customer experience, seller relationships, business risk, and regulatory compliance.
AI & Technology Fluency:
Deep understanding of AI/ML capabilities including natural language processing, predictive analytics, and generative AI applications. Candidates must evaluate AI recommendations, understand confidence thresholds, and design human-in-the-loop workflows that balance automation with human judgment.
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management:
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical and operational issues in clear business language, translating escalation details into strategic insights for senior leadership while managing high-stakes conversations with frustrated customers and concerned sellers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence:
Proven ability to work effectively in highly collaborative environments, building relationships across Legal, Product, Operations, and Technology teams. Candidates must influence without direct authority and drive consensus on resolution approaches.
Bias for Action with Customer Obsession:
Relentless focus on customer and seller outcomes with courage to make bold decisions quickly when trust is at stake, balancing speed with precision while prioritizing what's right for customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of conducting workplace risk investigations experience
- Experience in conducting workplace risk investigations
- Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
- Experience managing direct reports
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of customer-facing environment experience
- CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA or equivalent risk, audit, or compliance credentials
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment
- Experience with physical security control and surveillance systems
- Master's degree or equivalent
