Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Manager of Computer Operations to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This leadership position will be located in San Diego, CA; please note that the candidate selected for this position will be required to work on‑site, full‑time, at our Rancho Carmel office in San Diego, CA campus – this is not a remote work opportunity.
This position will be responsible for the functional management of an integrated team of systems administrators, network engineers, desktop technicians, and Information Systems Security Professionals (ISSOs/ISSMs) within the Security organization supporting the classified infrastructures within the MS Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity (NIC) Division. In addition, this leader will provide geographic leadership support for all MS California sites including Woodland Hills, Sunnyvale, and Sacramento (McClellan Park).
Functions
- This position requires leadership and organization focus in order to deliver and support a geographically dispersed team.
- Interface with the NIC Division Industrial Security POC, NIC CIDO PD, their staff, and with Division program managers.
- Integrate IA and IT team members into a cohesive, high performing team.
- Plan, execute, and report on several organizational metrics designed to ensure 100% compliance with Government regulations to include the RMF, JSIG, and other compliance requirements.
- Focus on technology improvements, automations, and standardizations.
- Provide functional leadership to managers and staff while ensuring that vacant positions are staffed and employees are provided with challenging assignments and training opportunities.
Collaborate with peers in MS Classified Solutions and across other NG Sectors to promote standards and information sharing.
Basic Qualifications- Associate’s degree and 14 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 16 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
- Applicants must have an active DoD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP), in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
