This role supports the Maritime Tactical Command and Control (MTC2) program and is responsible for embedding security into the entire software lifecycle, architecting secure infrastructure, and leading the team’s effort to maintain rapid authorizations via the RAISE process. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our NIWC PAC government customers, product owners, and cross-functional Dev Sec Ops teams to deliver Fleet‑deployable MTC2 capabilities to the fleet.
WhatYou'll Do:
- Lead the execution of the Navy’s Rapid Assess and Incorporate Software Engineering (RAISE) process to achieve and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) for all MTC2 application baselines.
- Lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of automated security tooling within cross‑functional CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated compliance is seamlessly embedded from requirements through production deployment.
- Implement advanced Dev Sec Ops best practices, including secure coding standards, pipeline hardening, infrastructure automation security, and continuous monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex security‑related build failures, pipeline disruptions, and deployment blockers across multiple environments.
- Manage and interpret results from automated security tools to develop, track, and maintain authorization artifacts directly within the Dev Sec Ops toolchain.
- Collaborate cross‑functional teams to operate and sustain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security and automated compliance are embedded throughout the entire software lifecycle.
- Experience working within Dev Sec Ops environments, securing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton, Git Lab) and cloud infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency in containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes/Open Shift) and their specific security implications.
- End‑to‑end experience securing cloud infrastructure and operating systems (Linux/RHEL, Windows).
- Familiarity with scripting/programming (Bash, Python, Power Shell) to automate security checks and remediation.
Certifications:
- Active Security+ Certification
- OS Certification(e.g., RHEL/Linux, AWS, Windows)
