Computer Systems Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine software and hardware testing of computer systems using provided test tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades as required.
• Follow established test procedures and scripts to validate the performance of software and hardware.
• Report testing failures, faults, or inconsistencies as instructed.
• Record test results, update documentation, and assist in preparing technical reports.
• Complete all required documentation, pre- and post-test write-ups, and correspondence with test leadership.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of software and hardware issues.
• Assist senior technicians with more complicated test scenarios and special projects.
• Comply with all operational, security, and safety guidelines and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in computer system software and hardware testing and troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level.
• General knowledge and understanding of computers, networking, or communication systems.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to travel 1 to 2 weeks per year as required (domestic travel only).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows and desktop applications.

• Prior military experience.
• Knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL).
• Understanding of personal computers and current Windows Operating Systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows and desktop applications, including word processing programs.
