Compensation Range
Hourly: $22.00 - $25.07
Position SummaryThe NEST Support Specialist provides end‑user support for all NEST IT‑related issues. They document, track, and monitor Desktop Support NEST‑related trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution. They also maintain accurate accounting of NEST IT inventory, licensing, and assets. The Specialist delivers excellent customer service and works independently or as part of a team.
Essential Functions- Provide basic and intermediate end‑user support for all NEST IT issues.
- Document, track, and monitor Desktop Support NEST ticket resolution.
- Respond to phone calls, e‑mail, and tickets for technical support.
- Analyze, diagnose, test, and resolve NEST end‑user problems.
- Maintain precise inventory, licensing, and asset records.
- Install, maintain, and repair hardware components.
- Recommend system modifications to reduce incidents and problems.
- Remotely install software applications on NEST assets.
- Multitask and prioritize workflow.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base and reference documentation.
- Provide training to end‑users on hardware issues.
- Assist or lead important IT tasks and projects.
- Maintain reasonable attendance to fulfill position requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Computers or related field, preferred.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in Desktop Support or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in higher education preferred.
- Experience working in a technology‑driven enterprise preferred.
- Active team member who collaborates toward common goals.
- Proactive in addressing personal limitations and supporting honesty and respect.
- Innovative problem‑solving and development of new programs/processes.
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, Apple products (macOS/iOS), Chromebook, and smartphone technologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of desktop security, virus protection, and web/video conferencing applications.
- Strong understanding of multifunction printers/copiers and desktop printers.
Onsite, Spectrum Center, San Diego, CA. Travel seldom required.
