Position: Information Systems Security Specialist / CBSP

Overview

Centurum is seeking a skilled SATCOM Technical Support Engineer to provide Technical Sustainment Support (TSS), Sustainment Engineering (SE), Modernization Support (MS), Logistics Support (LS), and other SATCOM technical services in support of the Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP): AN/USC‑69(V)1/2/3 (surface and shore), including associated crypto and modem equipment. The ideal candidate will support Navy fleet readiness through technical assistance, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering support across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide TSS, SE, MS, LS, and general technical support for CBSP systems, including AN/USC‑69(V)1/2/3 and associated crypto/modems.
  • Perform Program of Record (POR) activities: PITCO, SOVT, PICO, engineering/field changes, CASREP analysis (ITSM entries), and TF  development.
  • Conduct CONUS/OCONUS technical assistance visits to troubleshoot, test, and restore system functionality; replace failed components; and support system lab assets.
  • Execute Pre‑Installation Test and Check Out (PITCO) support services.
  • Support Pre‑Installation Check Off (PICO) and on‑site installation, assembly, testing, SOVT, system turnover, training, and operational cutover.
  • Provide task status through oral briefings and written documentation for senior Navy personnel.
  • Develop instructions, procedures, schematics, and other technical documentation as required.
  • Perform Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflow assessments, including SARs and POAMs for programs such as NSLCA, CBSP, STtNG, and CSat Shore.
  • Represent NIWC LANT in meetings regarding equipment security standards/baselines.
  • Create and maintain Mandatory Security Updates (MSUs) and apply required patches for project equipment (Windows hosts, Cisco routers, servers, etc.).
  • Provide technical expertise in the development and implementation of cybersecurity controls.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance (or higher) required.
  • Experience supporting Navy SATCOM systems, preferably CBSP or similar.
  • Familiarity with PITCO, SOVT, PICO, engineering changes, and Navy documentation processes.
  • Ability to perform system troubleshooting, component replacement, and equipment testing.
  • Experience with RMF workflows, cybersecurity documentation, and security patching highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior personnel.
  • Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required.
