This is not a run-of-the-mill DBA position… this is a Senior Leadership role responsible for the reliability, performance, and evolution of XiFin’s core database platforms that underpin our SaaS revenue cycle systems. Are you that person?

This position will be the overall Lead Database Technologist at XiFin Inc. Responsibilities include all architectural and operational database administration functions for Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL & PostgreSQL. It will be accountable for database architecture, data & infrastructure design, installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, security/compliance adherence, and creating the on-going operational processes and documentation to support the XiFin database platform. This position will be responsible for identifying reoccurring operational issues, configuration issues, and trends.

Once these issues are identified you will be responsible for the remediation and prevention of these issues from reoccurrence in the future.

The technologies within the scope of this position include the full range of database service architectures. Operating within both OLTP and DW models, provide enterprise data management, data warehousing, dimensional and relational data modeling, data integration, ETL, database business intelligence system & supporting technologies. Also within scope are commonly used operations management tools & desktop products in support of the technologies.

This position will report to the SVP, IT and will provide guidance to the applications development and applications support teams. This position will need to understand XiFin’s SaaS based product applications and how they relate to our current database platform, so they are able to set and enforce standards/best practices in the application team’s development efforts and the DBA operational support

This position will be located at our offices in San Diego, CA.

• Plan, engineer, design, implement and manage database services and responsible for the configuration, maintenance and capacity planning for technologies in scope.
• Execute project engineering and solution processes & functions for technologies in scope. Responsible and accountable for service and project delivery.
• Develop, implement, execute & communicate the database architecture, engineering & standards strategy and for its operational usage across the enterprise for technologies in scope.
• Implement the strategy for XiFin’s operational OLTP and Analytics platforms.
• Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with strategic partners from within XiFin Engineering, Infrastructure, and business partners, as well as all database related external outsourced IT infrastructure service providers serving XiFin.
