Position: QA UI/UX User Experience Analyst ( San Diego Only )

You’ll partner closely with our QA Automation team, lead outsourced testers, and stay hands‑on with manual testing. Most importantly, you’ll be the person who owns the quality process—catching what automated systems miss and ensuring that our standards don’t slip, even under pressure.

Whova revolutionizes event engagement and attendee networking by providing the Whova event management software and services to support events, conferences, and expos globally every day. Whova is a fast‑growing company and is backed by Venture Capital in Silicon Valley as well as US government funding, with customers in America, Europe, Asia, etc. Our easy‑to‑use app brings people together.

What You’ll Do:
  • Create, find, and implement processes for manual testing.
  • Manage outsourced testers: assign tasks, review deliverables, and keep timelines tight.
  • Create and maintain testing acceptance criteria and scenarios for our applications.
  • Collect testing needs from our project teams, and determine priorities that are consistent with business goals and objectives.
  • Track and document bugs and issues clearly for developers.
  • Validate features and fixes before they ship.
  • Maintain internal documentation for system behavior and processes.
  • Proactively identify quality risks and gaps before they become problems.
What We Expect:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cognitive Science, HCI, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in QA and user‑facing application testing.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles and testing methodologies
  • Organized, structured, and efficient—especially under pressure.
  • Experience with issue/bug/defect tracking tools
  • Experience in written requirements and use cases
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: $50K-$60K annually, based on relevant experience in UI/UX, Quality Assurance, Project Management, or related fields in science or engineering.
  • Paid holidays and vacation
  • Two catered lunches per week
  • A collaborative, fast‑paced team environment
  • The opportunity to contribute directly to a globally top‑ranked product (awarded by G2, Event Technology Awards, and others).

If you’re someone who thrives on precision, takes ownership seriously, and wants to contribute to a product that’s used worldwide—
we want to hear from you.
