Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary

Repair depot technician focusing on RMA of Teledyne API products. Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures; provide cost‑effective repair solutions to minimize customer downtime; support technical and service activities; provide application/software support; and assist Technical Support to customers and feedback to Production/Engineering. Reports to the Repair Depot Supervisor and works toward a Technical Support role.

• Handle RMA in a timely, efficient manner with the team.
• Identify and resolve problems, gather and analyze information.
• Analyze, test and repair electronic hardware using schematics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software‑controlled analog and digital surface mount circuit boards.
• Resolve start‑up and calibration problems and repair instruments for assigned products.
• Communicate with various departments for continuous improvement efforts on products and processes.
• Work on semi‑routine assignments while occasionally deviating from accepted practice.

• Associate degree in a mechanical related field or equivalent work experience with air pollution instrumentation and/or mechanical/electro‑mechanical machinery.
• 3‑5 years of experience/education in a service‑related environment, oriented toward electronic, pneumatic, and electromechanical instrumentation.
• Proficiency with VOM, oscilloscopes, recorders, hand tools, test jibs, and custom test equipment.
• Judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, digital and analog skills, logical troubleshooting, and high attention to detail.
• General computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for customer and team interaction.
• Environmental industry product knowledge, Microsoft AX, Salesforce, or background in chemistry/biochemistry/analytical chemistry are pluses.

Salary Range: $44,500.00 – $59,300.00
