The Global Marketing Directorate works closely with the Product and Project Directorates within the cross-functional unit dedicated to the entire Global Pay TV activity of the CANAL Group, covering all geographies of the group in Europe, Africa, and Asia. The marketing directorate is divided into three areas:
Subscriber Marketing and Value Proposition, Studies and Subscriber Knowledge, and Merchandising and Training. It defines the transversal marketing pillars and supports the different geographies in their implementation. A centralized expertise center, strategic watch, and subscriber knowledge, it supports all BUs on offer, content, distribution model, and park management strategies as well as on the acceleration of Digital and OTT. It ensures the identification and implementation of best practices and global synergy opportunities.
Your Role and Missions
- Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Define standard KPIs and global dashboards to track, measure, and compare the effectiveness of customer value creation initiatives across different markets (ARPU, churn, upsell…). Standardize, prepare, and present regular reports on consumption performance, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Be a partner to BUs during budget sessions for KPI analysis and objective setting. - Customer Lifecycle Management:
Identify and share strategies and best practices to maximize lifetime customer value, focusing on acquisition, activation, retention, and reactivation of postpaid and prepaid/engaged and non-engaged customers. Coordinate with project teams the deployment of the marketing automation tool (Braze) in regions with local experts, and ensure the sharing of processes to identify best practices and synergy opportunities. Analyze customer behavior to identify churn risks and key engagement moments, stimulation of usage, and upsell opportunities.
Use data analysis to implement individual scores and drive personalized marketing strategies to prevent churn and maximize Life Time Value. Produce analyses and presentations for BUs and management. - Customer Segmentation and Insights:
Collaborate with Studies and Data teams to extract insights on customer preferences, usage habits, and behavioral trends. Use data analysis to segment the customer base and tailor offers to different segments. - Content Monetization and Revenue Optimization (in collaboration with Finance and Data teams):
Collaborate with Data and Finance teams to define and standardize analytical models and business plans to evaluate the ROI of existing or potential partnerships (SVOD aggregation, sports acquisitions…), as well as the impact on the portfolio and P&L of adding or removing content in an offer. Challenge the pricing, promotions, and offers strategies of BUs to balance competitiveness and profitability. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Define and coordinate the exchange channels and collaboration platform of CVM experts from BUs (including regular routines, seminars…). Work closely with other global marketing, product, BU, and tech teams to align customer value creation initiatives with global business objectives. Contribute to the evaluation of the ROI of global projects.
About You
- Proven experience in developing effective customer retention and upsell strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Excel and BI platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of subscription economic models.
- Customer-oriented with a strong focus on creating tangible value.
- Experience with CRM tools, loyalty programs, and marketing campaigns.
- Excellent analytical, modeling, and formalization skills.
- Ability to interpret and structure data clearly, conceptualize and formalize a strategy, and convert it into concrete actions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multicultural teams.
- Leadership and ability to mobilize stakeholders around cross-functional projects.
- Creativity and adaptability in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
