Data Integration Platform Engineer
We are seeking a Data Integration Platform Engineer to support a critical enterprise integration platform. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, infrastructure, and platform operations, with a focus on Apache NiFi (Cloudera CFM/CDP) and Kafka. This is a high-impact, developer-facing role responsible for platform stability, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting cross-functional teams across upgrades, migrations, and ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
- Own and administer Apache NiFi (Cloudera CFM/CDP) and Kafka platforms
- Build and maintain basic NiFi flows for validation, POC testing, and integrations
- Provide production support, handling Service Now tickets, production issues, and SLA-driven requests
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure reliability
- Support platform upgrades and migrations, including major NiFi/Cloudera version changes
- Integrate platform components with AWS (S3, IAM, EKS, Secrets Manager)
- Write Python and shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operations
- Manage security configurations (TLS/SSL, IAM, LDAP/AD access)
- Collaborate with developers to onboard users, configure connectors, and resolve issues
- Contribute to platform governance and maintain runbooks/documentation
