Responsibilities
- Define and execute an enterprise data and AI strategy aligned with company R&D and commercialization goals.
- Identify high-impact AI/data opportunities across R&D, Clinical, CMC, Manufacturing, G&A, and other functions.
- Drive executive alignment on AI/data opportunities, risks, and investment priorities.
- Lead design and implementation of an enterprise data platform to integrate data across R&D, CMC, Clinical, and commercial domains.
- Establish scalable data architecture for real‑time pipelines, advanced analytics, machine learning, agentic AI workflows, and AI‑driven insights; enable interoperability and data sharing across siloed systems.
- Define and own AI acceptable‑use policy, responsible AI framework, and guardrails for LLM use in regulated (GxP) workflows.
- Ensure alignment with AI/ML regulatory guidance (FDA AI framework, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001) and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
- Establish AI model lifecycle governance (validation, performance monitoring/LLMOps, deprecation).
- Partner with Legal/Compliance/Information Security on AI vendor risk and data privacy.
- Establish enterprise data governance (ownership, stewardship, classification, quality, lifecycle) and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP/GCP/SOX and data integrity.
- Oversee development/scaling of AI agents across functions (e.g., Commercial, Finance, HR, Legal); manage AI vendor relationships; ensure security/data governance/regulatory compliance.
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary team and scale an existing digital workspace/agent experimentation function.
- Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- 12+ years in data/analytics/AI‑ML/informatics leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related.
- Proven experience building/scaling enterprise data platforms and AI capabilities.
- Life sciences/biotech/pharma/technology industry experience.
- Demonstrated success in regulated environments; experience scaling commercial‑stage organizations.
- Deep understanding of modern data architectures, cloud platforms, and AI/ML.
- Strong business acumen; ability to translate strategy into execution; lead cross‑functional transformation.
- Ability to balance innovation with risk management and compliance.
- Advanced degree in Data Science/Engineering/Life Sciences/Business.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Candidates must have current, valid authorization to work in the country where this role is located.
