Job Description & How to Apply Below
Lyntris is a defense technology company that connects sensing to action across the connected battlespace. Lyntris brings together the talents of Accelint and Vitesse teams under one mission, with each contributing deep expertise within their domain. Combining differentiated hardware, software and mission expertise, Lyntris helps customers sense threats, make sense of complex conditions and act with greater speed, precision and confidence in contested environments.
Lyntris supports U.S. and allied defense organizations across every branch - including Navy, Army, Air Force, Space Force and allied partners - spanning strategic, operational and tactical missions and every domain:
Space, Air, Land, Sea and Cyber. With more than 200 active defense programs, Lyntris works at every level of the mission, from national command authority to the tactical edge. Solutions are designed by operators who understand the mission, engineered for the conditions that degrade or defeat standard systems, and built on an open, modular architecture that integrates into existing programs without requiring them to start over.
Lyntris moves faster than the traditional defense cycle - with integrated design, build and test capabilities in-house - and delivers systems that sustain and endure long after initial fielding. We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities across multiple Department of the Navy (DON) systems and programs.
This role will work closely with program managers, engineers, developers, Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), and government stakeholders to ensure systems achieve and maintain cybersecurity compliance throughout the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of RMF processes, cybersecurity compliance requirements, vulnerability management, and system authorization activities. This position requires the ability to coordinate across technical and programmatic teams, manage cybersecurity schedules, assess risk, and support accreditation efforts for both developmental and fielded systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage RMF and A&A activities, including system categorization, security control assessments, authorization package development, continuous monitoring, and accreditation support.
* Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, remediation planning, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to NIST, DoD, and DON security requirements.
* Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, policies, procedures, authorization artifacts, and compliance records within eMASS, VRAM, DADMS, and DITPR-DON.
* Collaborate with engineers, ISSMs, program managers, ISEAs, and government stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity requirements into system design, development, testing, fielding, and sustainment activities.
* Support configuration management, change control, software baseline management, vulnerability scanning, and modernization initiatives to maintain authorization readiness and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
* Prepare status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for leadership while driving process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance RMF execution and cybersecurity program efficiency.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 8+ years of cybersecurity, RMF, Information Assurance, or A&A experience supporting DoD or government programs.
* Experience supporting RMF and A&A activities using eMASS and related cybersecurity compliance tools.
* Strong knowledge of NIST 800-series publications, DoD RMF guidance, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
* Active Secret Clearance.
* Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Current DoD 8570/8140 certification (Security+, CISSP, CAP, CASP+, or equivalent).
