Within the Data Direction, you will join the Data Engineering vertical and report to our Data Director. Your mission is to co-pilot a Feature Team (FT) in partnership with a Product Owner. The purpose of your team is to provide the best Data Products (Analytics and AI) to your users while ensuring the lowest possible service cost.

Context:

In full organizational and digital transformation, Accor adopts an Agile culture and the technical requirements of Dev Ops of major players (Amazon, Google). Our technical ecosystem has evolved significantly in recent years, and is now based mainly on leading Cloud/SaaS solutions (Snowflake, Tableau, AWS), integrating the best of open source (dbt, airflow, etc.)

Within the Data department, the Data Engineering vertical works closely with our Product teams, Data Managers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and our Scrum Masters.

Your mission:

Technical reference and guarantor of "quality/performance", your work consists of piloting the actors involved in the development and improvement of Data Products.

As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising and coaching a team of Data Engineers (internal and external)
• Ensuring the implementation of good development practices (Dev Ops, etc.)
• Technical choices and modeling in consultation with other Data Leads (Snowflake urbanization, patterns, dependencies, quality, etc.)
• Integration of data sources under the responsibility of your FT through our in-house solution "Data Hub"
• Industrialization of Data Products (analytics & AI)
• Optimization of their performance and costs (Fin Ops)

Qualifications

And you?

Graduated from an engineering school or specialized Master's degree, you have at least 5 years of significant experience in Data and prior managerial experience.

Your taste for teamwork and excellent communication make you a team leader.

You have a real desire to develop and manage a technical team, to supervise providers, and to technically animate our Data Engineering community.

With technical expertise on Snowflake, or other Modern Data Platform (e.g. Big Query), you are committed to:

• Meeting functional and technical challenges by providing "progressive" solutions
• Developing useful and "optimized" Data Products
• Providing a high-quality service to your "clients" users
• Challenging the status quo, proposing improvements and implementing them

Technical Skills

• Mastery of SQL and Python
• Agile culture (Jira, Confluence, Gitlab) & Dev Ops (CI/CD, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake functionalities
• Knowledge of dbt
• Experience with Data Science topics, Data Products (analytics & AI)
• Experience with different data modeling
• Plus:
  Tableau (or other Analytics tools), Fin Ops culture and e-commerce skills (SEO/SEA)

Soft-skills and leadership

• You know how to solve problems proactively and autonomously in a spirit of analysis and synthesis
• You show leadership and know how to animate a team
