DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Epic Ambulatory Specialties Manager and with a dotted-line relationship to the Epic Ambulatory manager, the Epic Beacon/Ambulatory Analyst is dedicated to Epic Beacon (oncology) application support, with a primary focus on the intersection of Beacon and Ambulatory workflows. The analyst supports clinical areas that rely on Beacon functionality – including Cancer Services, Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT), Infusion Centers, and Apheresis – as well as adjacent areas that depend on close coordination with Ambulatory workflows.

The analyst works primarily with the Epic Beacon, Ambulatory, and other analyst teams and with operational and clinical end users, indirectly improving the clinical workflows and tools that clinicians and patients rely on by advancing workflow optimization across integrated processes.

Responsibilities center on supporting, optimizing, and troubleshooting the shared workflows where Beacon and Ambulatory processes intersect; reviewing and implementing Epic version updates and upgrades as they pertain to oncology and Beacon/Ambulatory workflows, ensuring release readiness; translating clinical and operational needs into effective Epic functionality; providing problem management and incident resolution; and participating in end-user training.
