Accountabilities:

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will lead the technical delivery of network security operations projects, ensuring successful implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of advanced cybersecurity solutions.

• Design and deploy network security sensor architectures across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, including traffic mirroring strategies for AWS and Azure environments.
• Configure and optimize packet storage solutions, including retention planning, performance considerations, and compliance-driven requirements.
• Develop customized detections, detection bundles, and security workflows tailored to customer environments and threat profiles.
• Create dashboards and reporting solutions that transform network data into actionable insights for security operations teams and business stakeholders.
• Build and maintain integrations with SIEM, SOAR, ticketing, and CMDB platforms using APIs, automation workflows, and data streaming capabilities.
• Conduct network visibility assessments to identify coverage gaps, encrypted traffic challenges, segmentation issues, and security improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients to optimize deployments, improve platform performance, and provide strategic technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot complex implementation and operational issues, serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Produce detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, deployment plans, and as-built configurations.
• Mentor junior consultants by sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and cybersecurity expertise.
• Support client engagements by communicating technical recommendations clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is an experienced cybersecurity professional with strong expertise in network detection and response technologies, cloud environments, and enterprise security operations.

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience with advanced network detection and response platforms, including Extra Hop Reveal(x) or similar technologies.
• Proven experience deploying and administering enterprise network security monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of sensor deployment strategies, packet storage configuration, sizing, retention, and performance optimization.
• Deep knowledge of wire data analysis, including L2-L7 protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS/SSL decryption concepts.
• Experience creating custom detections, dashboards, integrations, and security workflows beyond default configurations.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and Python scripting for automation, customization, and operational improvements.
• Experience integrating network security platforms with SIEM solutions such as Splunk, XSIAM, Crowd Strike, or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of threat hunting and incident investigation methodologies, including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
