AUSGAR Technologies is a Department of Defense contractor offering an exciting new opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team of smart and innovative technical members in the Old Town area of San Diego.

Description

Serve as a Cybersecurity Analyst for the program throughout the stages of system engineering, deployment, and sustainment. You will execute the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process through all phases, including categorization of the system, development of the System Security Plan (SSP), Security Assessment Plan (SAP), documentation of NIST 800-53 Security Control implementation, Security Program Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), and communication with ISSMs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide status updates to the ISSM for RMF authorization status for various RMF packages. Track and identify cybersecurity risks and report to ISSM, cyber leads, and engineering teams. Assist with data calls, TASKORDS/OPORDS, and help incorporate findings into system POA&Ms. Work with ISSM to answer data calls and support compliance issues.

Requirements
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • DoD 8140.03 IAT II certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years plus in the cybersecurity field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • DoD RMF experience in the ISSE role using eMASS, including developing/updating RMF System SSPs, documenting NIST 800-53 controls, developing Security SAPs, POA&Ms, and Risk Assessment Reports (RARs).
  • Experience using eMASS and reviewing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)/Security Requirements Guide (SRGs), SCAP, and ACAS results.
  • Good knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to advise stakeholders on security requirements, risk assessments, and mitigations.
  • Capability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Expected travel up to 10%.
  • Hybrid position: approximately 60% onsite / 40% remote.

Salary Range: $120,000-$155,000. Based on your qualifications, you will be placed in Level I-V.

Active security clearance required; successful background check required.
