We are seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead our Data Engineering Platform team in building and maintaining the world class Data and AI platform. As a Sr Manager, Data Engineer Operations, you'll lead a team of talented data and platform engineers responsible for designing, building and delivering secure, scalable data platform serving directly to our internal and external stakeholders in Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Product launches and several other initiatives. We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on to serve as the principal owner and administrator of our enterprise Data Platform.

In this role, you will lead the operational health, security, governance, and delivery pipelines of our Databricks environments.

You will be directly responsible for designing and enforcing security controls (RBAC/ABAC), establishing mature data governance frameworks utilizing Databricks Unity Catalog, automating workspace deployment, and instilling Dev Sec Ops  practices through robust CI/CD pipelines.

You'll be a key contributor organizing and helping the team with managing the backlog of work items building in collaboration with technical leads and stakeholders for our Databricks-based data infrastructure, ensuring it meets the rigorous standards of the medical device industry. Responsibilities:

• Platform Governance & Unity Catalog Management:
  Own the architecture, deployment, and daily management of Databricks Unity Catalog across dev, test, and production environments.
• Define and enforce catalog structures, schemas, external locations, storage credentials, and metadata tagging standards.
• Security & Access Control (RBAC/ABAC):
  Design and implement fine-grained access control policies using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC).
• Manage service principals, identity federation (IdP), system privileges, and secure secrets management via cloud Key Vaults integrated into Databricks secret scopes.
• Workspace & Infrastructure Automation:
  Oversee multi-workspace administration, including cluster policies, compute governance, runtime versions, and SQL Warehouses.
• Provision and scale work spaces programmatically using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• CI/CD & Dev Sec Ops  Lifecycle:
  Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD workflows for data assets using modern Dev Ops tooling (Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Lab CI).
• Incorporate Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) or Databricks CLI into pipelines to enable seamless code promotion, automated testing, and environment consistency.
• Fin Ops & Performance Optimization:
  Monitor platform usage, analyze audit logs, and establish dashboards to track platform spend.
