The Direction générale de la police nationale (DGPN) has launched the XPN program to develop a new solution for writing procedures. This new system aims to replace the current LRPPN tool. As a systems and network administrator, you are responsible for managing, deploying, and optimizing work environments. Your mission is critical: you must ensure that teams have performance tools, and above all, you ensure that the XPN solution is fully operational on the target hardware and software configurations of the end users of the National Police.

Principal missions:

• Management of the Park and Workstations:
• Set up, configure, and maintain Linux (Ubiquity) workstations for XPN project members.
• Propose improvements to workstations that promote team productivity.
• Provide level 2/3 technical support on OS and network issues related to workstations.
• Industrialization and Interoperability (Target Police):
• Simulation and Preparation:
  Set up and configure "mirror" workstations that strictly adhere to the configuration of target Police PCs to validate the deployment of the software.
• Compatibility Windows/Linux:
  Implement and optimize the compatibility layer (Wine) to enable the execution of necessary Windows software on Linux development workstations.
• Packaging:
  Manage the packaging and deployment of software artifacts to ensure error-free installation on the target park.
• Automation and Quality:
• Automate the deployment of system configurations through scripts or configuration management tools.
• Maintain the compilation and integration chain via Git Lab CI/CD.
• Write technical documentation and configuration procedures according to the "Documentation as Code" approach.

• Experience:
• Bac+5 in computer science or similar field, with more than 5 years of experience in the field of QA technical or software quality engineering.
• Technical knowledge:
• Systems:
  Expertise in Linux distributions and mastery of Windows system administration (registry management, services, permission management, and software dependencies).
• Interoperability:
  Mastery of Wine and Windows-to-Linux software compatibility mechanisms.
• Hardware & Networks:
  Ability to analyze target PC hardware configurations and adapt the OS accordingly.
• Dev Ops Tools:
  Mastery of Git and Git Lab CI/CD pipelines.
• Additional skills:
  Knowledge of cross-compilation and artifact management.
• Know-how:
• Extreme rigor in documentation and ability to work in interface with end users.

Your prospects:

Possibility to evolve within the structure on positions with greater responsibility. Expected duration on the position: 3 years.
