Reporting to the VC-CFO, Information Technology Services (ITS) delivers Enterprise information technology services to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the leadership of the campus Chief Information Officer (CIO). Information Technology Services (IT Services) uses world-class services and technologies to empower UC San Diego's mission to transform California and the world as a student-centered, research-focused, service-oriented public university. The Application Development & Integration Services (ADIS) team provides enterprise solutions for the UC San Diego community. We strive to consistently deliver quality and reliable services that help our campus achieve its administrative goals. Our combined technical resources allow us to build, integrate, host, and deliver enterprise services for both our campus and collaboratively with other campuses within the UC system.
Additionally, the team offers custom integration and application development services, business analysis services and data management services for a variety of departments on the campus.
Works closely with Student Affairs, University Communications and ITS stakeholders to assess evolving needs, identify opportunities for innovation, and recommend scalable, user-centered mobile solutions. Brings a strong technical background, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to align technology initiatives with the university’s broader goals in research, education, and community engagement.
Responsible for advancing the campus mobile platform, which includes the iOS and Android app, and dependent services and web applications. Direct involvement with the full development life cycle of mobile and dependent services, implementing best practices such as continuous integration and deployment, code reviews, and pair programming. The incumbent mentors junior team members on the technologies of the campus mobile platform.
Responsibilities- Support and develop the campus mobile platform (Google Flutter for iOS and Android)
- Utilize testing platforms, such as Test Flight, Google Play, and virtual device farms
- Implement best practices such as continuous integration and deployment, code reviews, and pair programming
