Required Qualifications /Skills/

Experience:

7+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business systems analysis, database development, BI/reporting, software development, or application/data support roles supporting complex operational systems. Strong experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytics using SQL, Oracle tools, Power BI, or similar BI platforms. Advanced proficiency with SQL, relational databases, and Oracle Database concepts. Ability to independently analyze complex operational datasets, reconcile data across systems, validate results, identify trends, and provide actionable business recommendations.

Experience gathering business requirements, documenting functional and technical specifications, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and creating end-user documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in ambiguous environments. Strong collaboration skills with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams.

Preferred

Skills:

Experience supporting utility operations, outage management, customer operations, or operational analytics. Experience with Oracle Utilities Analytics (OUA), Network Management System (NMS), or Outage Management Systems (OMS). PL/SQL, XML, Power Query, Power BI Data Modeling, and DAX. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, cloud data warehousing, or AWS-based data environments. Familiarity with SQL Developer. Experience analyzing customer outage notifications, outage maps, reliability data, and Customer Success metrics.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior-level Data Analyst to support operational analytics, outage management, and customer-focused initiatives by analyzing complex operational and customer data. This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to develop insights, build reports and dashboards, validate data quality, and provide recommendations that improve operational performance and customer experience. The ideal candidate is a self-directed analytical problem solver with strong SQL expertise and experience translating complex business needs into practical data-driven solutions.

Duties:
Analyze complex operational, outage, customer, and system data to answer business questions and support decision-making. Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and data validation. Build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using operational and customer data. Perform recurring outage data audits to identify trends, data quality issues, and process improvement opportunities. Analyze customer outage notifications and outage map data to improve customer experience.

Support the development and maintenance of internal and external outage tracking solutions. Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and application teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions. Validate and reconcile data across multiple systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Document functional requirements, technical specifications, and user documentation. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and recommend improvements based on analytical findings.

Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, operational processes, and overall business performance.
